01

THE NEED

the starting point

Everything built from zero. Under real pressure.

When I’m a HIPpy launched as a brand new non-profit, they had something most organizations spend years trying to find: a genuinely important mission. Raising awareness and funds for hip dysplasia and other hip disorders and connecting worried parents, medical professionals, and supporters across Canada and beyond.

What they didn't have was anything online to show for it. No website. No donor tools. No way to reach the people that needed them most. We fixed that. Fast.

We're talking about a full digital operation: a website that could educate, inspire, and convert visitors into donors and supporters, plus all the backend infrastructure to actually run a growing non-profit (CRM, event management, online donations, community forum, e-commerce).

Oh, and it needed to speak to an audience that ranges from anxious new parents to orthopaedic surgeons. No pressure.

02

THE APPROACH

how we got there

Listen first. Build second. Don’t get in the way.

I started where I always start: listening. The team had a clear vision. My job was to build the infrastructure around it without getting in the way of what made them so special.

We built a clean, responsive Squarespace website as a central hub, then layered in the tools they'd actually use: a CRM for donor and supporter management, a community forum so families could find each other, online donation processing, event software, and an e-commerce set up for fundraising.

Everything was designed to grow with them, not just to get them launched. There's a difference between a site that looks ready and a site that actually is. We built the second kind.

03

THE RESULTS

the good stuff

They didn’t just launch. They landed.

The site became their main connection point almost immediately. Donations started flowing. Event registrations worked without a hitch. The forum did exactly what a good community forum should: it made people feel less alone.

The organization now has a digital foundation that matches the weight of their mission.

GOT A MISSION THAT DESERVES BETTER?

If your cause is important but your communications don’t reflect that, let’s fix it.

That’s exactly the kind of project I’m here for.
